Crooked River Ranch is a private resort community in southern Jefferson County. A small portion of the ranch is also in north Deschutes County. It is located between the Deschutes River and the Crooked River near the south end of Lake Billy Chinook. It is west of U.S. Route 97 between Culver and Terrebonne.

Amenities in the Crooked River Ranch include a golf course, swimming pool, saloon, disc golf course, horse riding arena and general store, and many hiking trails. The 12,000-acre ranch has a population of approximately 5,000. It is the largest homeowner association in Oregon.
Our high desert community rests between the Crooked River and the Deschutes at an elevation of approximately 2,800 feet above sea level. The climate is semi-arid, with annual precipitation of fewer than nine inches per year. We enjoy a high percentage of sunny days throughout the year. Refreshing different weather patterns of the four distinct seasons are common to the area.
Central Oregon has many beautiful places to walk or hike to including many spectacular waterfalls such as Steelhead Falls, Smith Rock to enjoy and take in Monkey Face Rock, and the beautiful Basalt River Canyons; some of the greatest canyons in Oregon.
Mt Jefferson, Mt Bachelor, Hoodoo are great places to play in the winter to enjoy Skiing, Snow Shoeing and Sledding.
There are many mountains all around including: Mt Bachelor, MT Jefferson, Three Sister, Three Finger Jack, Broken Top, and Black Butte all a part of the Cascade Mountain Range. Crooked River Ranch has many places to enjoy the views of many of these mountains.
